Julie stopped believing in fairy tales long ago. A supermarket cashier, she raises her little boy Lulu alone, her one ray of sunshine in a hard life. Then, on a particularly bleak day, fate smiles on her. Moved by their plight, a man invites them to his house by the sea in Brittany. After years of hardship, Julie remains wary of such generosity.
