The young wizard Teddy has accidentally turned baby penguin Penny to stone, and the spell must be broken before Merlin finds out! To do so, Jack and Annie must gather four objects. The first is a rose-shaped emerald in seventeenth-century India, where they must meet the Grand Mughal, to whom no one may speak on pain of death, if only they can first get inside the Red Fort, his sumptuous palace.
